Plan for Darkroom Activities

Darkroom practice assignment (Due by end of class 9/26)

• Initial rolls of film (in class roll, out of class roll)
• Contact sheets for above (only submit contact sheets)
• 3-5 work prints (from last week)

Exploring Contrast (In class, 9/26. Turn in by Thursday 9/28)

• Use an image from People, Places, or Things
• Three prints of the image, demonstrating three different contrasts, exposure optimized

Local adjustments; dodging and burning demo. Use as required. (In class, 9/26. )

People, Places and Things (Turn in by Tuesday 10/3, by beginning of class)

• 3-4 rolls of film; turn in contact sheets
• 5-7 refined prints with optimized exposure, contrast, and local adjustments (burning and dodging)
• Prints should be dry, ready to turn in by beginning of class
